This is a time designed to take a break and remember we are human beings not simply humans doing. It's a mix of meditation and discussion for the soul and takes place for about an hour every Wednesday night.
Contemplative Prayer is an ancient tradition that uses solitude as a vehicle to being present in our lives, stillness as a vehicle to discern and silence as a way to listen. Still not sure what to think about it? Think of it as form of meditation that allows us to "Be Still and Know" like in Psalm 46:10.
