Hi. I'm Tia.

Welcome! This is a place where passion meets purpose and my story unfolds. Make yourself at home - I'm glad you're here.

Setting No Intention. Is an Intention.

Setting No Intention. Is an Intention.

Found myself suspended 10,000 feet in the air above a canyon in New Mexico recently. Amazed by all that I could see and even more amazed by all of the things I could not see that conspired to bring me to this place at this moment. I desired to be in New Mexico for Center for Action and Contemplation's Conspire 2018. The way I got there is a story for another time.

Here’s what I will share now. We are powerful co-creators. You & Me. Our desires and intentions matter. When we listen for what the deepest part of us wants (call it soul, inner being, true self, authentic self) set an intention, agree that it is so and take inspired action along the way we receive more than we can ask, think or imagine.

Here’s the thing; failing to set an intention is ALSO an intention and we receive in that space TOO but it can feel like things are being thrown at us, like we’re being tossed around. Like our deepest desires don’t matter. And that is GOOD because it helps us become clear about what it is we really desire and so the cycle begins again.

Our intellect always asks, “but how?” We get so lost in our minds that we discount the valuable intelligence in our hearts and in our bodies. We lean into our minds and call the desire nonsense. Gary Zukav says:

“Nonsense is that which does not fit into the prearranged patterns which we have superimposed on reality...Nonsense is nonsense only when we have not yet found that point of view from which it makes sense.”

So when I get lost in the muddiness and sense of “how” my desires will manifest I hear my friend Quiana McCray words - “How is none of my business.” I move back to my intention, I realign with the sense in my heart and my body and back into the flow of inspired action...

Pause for a moment: mind, body, inner being, now - What do you desire? What is your intention?

May your days be filled with compassion, your faith remain strong, may growth be your compass and joy fill your tables.
