Hi. I'm Tia.

Welcome! This is a place where passion meets purpose and my story unfolds. Make yourself at home - I'm glad you're here.

Ashes to Ashes. Giving up a Corporate Title for Lent.

Ashes to Ashes. Giving up a Corporate Title for Lent.

This week marked the start of the Lenten season. A time that, for many Christians, begins with the observance of Ash Wednesday. A day that serves to remind us of both the gift and the brevity of life.

By the sweat of your brow
    you will eat your food
until you return to the ground,
    since from it you were taken;
for dust you are
and to dust you will return.”

                             Genesis 3:19

Coincidentally the day also fell on my last day in the office of the marketing agency I've worked for over the past three years. A place where I was able to learn and grow. A place where I was able to work along side some of the most passionate, creative and committed people in the business. A place that allowed me to make room for possibilities. It is for those things that I am grateful.

As the day approached and those close to the situation learned of my imminent departure the question I was asked most frequently was, "What are you going to do next? Did you find something else?"

Yes. Yes, to both.

What I'm going to do next is stop focusing on my next title and focus on my purpose. The something else I found is that not leaning into the fullness of life, the mystery, the unknown and becoming more intentional about the time I spend between the ashes - between the dust to dust- is a suffocating way to live.

What I'm going to do next is listen to and trust the dreams that have been divinely placed in my heart. I'm going to work in faith to make those dreams a reality and trust that living life and living it abundantly is not an empty declaration.

Is it a weird space to be in? Absolutely. I've had a title since I was 17 years old.

All of those other questions that are running through your head right now...they've already run through mine. That's why when my last client meeting ended I knew it was important that I find a place that would reassure me that dreams do come true. I drove straight to Crumbville and took a bite of a dream in the form of a Stuffed Cup baked by my friend Ella Russell.

Life has never tasted so sweet.

The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. John 10:10

May your days be filled with compassion, your faith remain strong and may growth be your compass.

Turning in the heels for a while as they are the wrong size for my Dream. Celebrated with a stuffed cup as proof that dreams do come true thanks to E.dub.a.licious Treats.
